Day 1: Airport Sibiu (SBZ)
Transfer from the airport to the hotel. In Sibiu, you will discover the secrets of this magnificent city. You can visit the main cultural objectives like The Evangelical Church, the Liar’s Bridge, The Council Tower, The Brukenthal Museum, and The Small Square with “the eyes of the city”. Accommodation in Sibiu.
Day 2: Sibiu – Balea Lake
After breakfast, we will drive to Balea Waterfall, from where you will take the cable to the Ice Hotel. The Hotel of Ice is (re)built every year using four-foot-long "bricks"; made from ice from the nearby Balea Lake. Every year, this unique hotel features a new design.
Day 3: Ski at Balea Lake
In winter, Balea Lake becomes a ski resort for expert skiers and snowboarders, with off-piste skiing and snowboarding on the longest slope in the Carpathians. The piste, which stretches over 14 kilometers (8.6 miles), offers high-adrenaline sensations. Accommodation at Balea Lake. The Snowmobile is available on request.
Day 4: Balea Lake – Bran – Brasov
We will drive through the Carpathian Mountains to Bran, where we will discover the castle of Dracula and the truth behind the legend. The castle was built in 1377 to safeguard the trading route between Transylvania and Wallachia, and was enlarged and restored a few times to become a royal residence in the 1920s under Queen Marie of Romania.
City tour of Brașov - a medieval city, founded in the 12th century. Sightseeing tour of the really well-preserved historical city center with the big square, the old city hall, and the Black Church - the main Gothic-style monument in the country. Accommodation in Brasov.
Day 5: Brasov – Sighisoara – Sibiu
We drive to Sighisoara (Schässburg), one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Romania – a UNESCO city. City tour of Sighisoara with a visit to the Citadel - a 12th-century Saxon edifice located in the historic center of the city. Still occupied, the citadel is listed as a World Heritage Site. We arrive in the evening in Sibiu. Accommodation in Sibiu.
Day 6: Departure from Sibiu
Breakfast. According to the flight schedule, transfer to the airport in Sibiu.
