During this tour, you will see two different destinations of Romania as you will discover the natural forests of the Carpathian Mountains along with an elegant castle, Peles, considered to be one of the most beautiful castles in Europe.
Program
This full-day tour will include departure from Bucharest, approx. two hours drive to Sinaia, a beautiful mountain resort, stop in Sinaia to visit Peles Castle, the former summer residence of Carol 1st (Carol Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, a German Prince from the dynasty with the same name, was the first king of Romania). The Castle built between 1875 – 1914 (a total period of 39 years) in a beautiful Neo-Renaissance architectural style, one of the most modern constructions from the end of the 19th century was also the first castle in Europe with electric power. After the visit to the castle, the trip will continue with an expedition to the peaks, to admire the real beauty of the mountains and “the world is seen from above”. The expedition will take approx. 4 hours and it will be made using a local mountain guide & a strong 4×4 vehicle.
