This program was designed to reveal one of the most spectacular caves in Romania and a medieval fortress, combining the geography with the history of Romania.

Program

The first visit will be the cave called “The Valley City”, accidentally discovered after a hydraulic explosion in 1949. You will visit the spectacular interior of a 20 million years old cave having stalactites and stalagmites, sometimes united in columns. The “Valley City” cave was declared a protected natural area of national interest.

The second visit will be the “Dambovicioara” cave formed during the Jurassic period on limestone rock due to Dambovicioara creek. Inside there can be seen interesting limestone formations such as stalactites and stalagmites.

In the evening, drive back to Bucharest.
