Sibiu is an exciting city both because of its historical past and the variety of attractions and cultural events. Narrow streets, colorful buildings in 3 central squares, houses arches, courtyards and mysterious tunnels, passageways and rooftops old mottled with "eyes" wide open will make you feel the flair of the city. It is one of Romania's cultural and tourism capitals, attracting tourists due to its wonderful medieval charm. The city's historical center has been recently renovated in 2006 and looks spectacular.

If you are in search of tranquility and relaxation pause at one of the cafes in the downtown area, visit art galleries and museums or enjoy a quiet moment in one of the churches and historical monument. No visit to Sibiu can be complete without visiting the Council Tower or the Tower of the Evangelical Church - the view of the city framed by snow-capped Fagaras Mountains is impressive.

The city was Cultural Capital of Europe in 2007 and in 2011 was listed in the famous Guide Michelin Green 3 stars, being called the "Little Vienna-city which must be visited."
